I live in the Derbyshire Peak District of England. I started handspinning in August 2005 and soon went on to learn about using natural dyes to colour my yarns. Then, in order to make good use of the handspun yarns I took up knitting needles and thought it would be a good idea to learn to weave. I still love my first loom - I have a 2nd hand 8-shaft Toika Norjaana floor loom, now joined by an 8 shaft Leclerc Voyageur table loom, a small 12-shaft Greg Meyer loom, and two rigid heddle looms. I have a floor-standing inkle loom and a band loom with drawloom attachment, and several spinning wheels. I am a member of the Online Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers. On thing led to another, and in August 2010 I published the first edition of a British magazine for Handspinners: YarnMaker.
